FIONA EVERARD – EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS BIRMINGHAM, UK

Fiona lined up in the women’s 10,000m final, marking her first major senior track championship appearance.

In a hugely competitive European final, Fiona battled all the way to the finish to record an excellent 20th-place finish in Europe. It has been an incredible season for Fiona, building on her 10th-place finish at the European Cross Country Championships, 23rd at the World Cross Country Championships, and a fantastic 10th-place finish and team silver medal with Ireland at the European 10,000m Cup earlier this year.
