Munster Juvenile Indoor Championships 2023
U12
Cara Daly competed in the 60m to finish 2nd in her heat, 2nd in the semi-final and finished a closed 4th in the final.
U13
John Feheney, Olan Shannon and Sean Nyhan all competed in the 60m. Olan and Sean were 4th and 6th in the same Semi Final and John finished 2nd in the semi-final and 8th in the final. Sean also competed in the 600m finishing 16th overall out of 32 competitors.
In the girls U13 Adora Nnaemeka continued last years success to fly through the heat and Semi- Finals of the 60m to take the gold in the final 🥇. Lily Clover, Aibhe Gray & Julie O’Keeffe also competed in the 60m. Lily & Aibhe progressed to the semi-finals to finish 4th and 8th respectively. Julie finished 7th in her heat.
Saoirse Walsh and Julie O’Keeffe competed in the 600m finished 3rd and 6th in their heats. In the 60mh & Long Jump there were four Bandon AC competitors Aoife Harte, Isla Wilson, Kara Casey & Nessa Shannon. Aoife & Isla progressed to the semi-finals in the 60mh. Isla finished 8th in the long jump with Aoife in 12th, Kara in 30th and Nessa in 32nd. Lily Clover competed in the Shot put to finish 2nd with a throw of 9.68m. 🥈
U14
Leila Cummins competed in the 60m finishing 4th in a very close semi-final to finish 9th overall.
U15
Max Clover competed strongly over the weekend taking home 3 individual medals silver in the 60mh, gold in the High jump with a jump of 1.65m and bronze in the shot put. 🥇🥉🥈Caoimhe O’Regan competed in the 800m finishing 10th out of 28 competitors.
U16
Lennart Lindenfeld & Eoin Sexton competed in both the 60m and 200m. Lennart finished 5th in his heat of the 60m while Eoin finished 3rd just missing out on places in the semi-final. Lennart and Eoin both finished 3rd in the heats of the 200m. Ruby Cummins claimed gold in the high jump and sliver in both the 60mh in a tight finish and long jump with a jump of 5.23m.🥇🥈🥈
U17
Eoin O’Callaghan finished 2nd in the 60mh and 2nd in the pole vault. 🥈🥈Aoife Callan claimed gold in the long jump with a jump of 5.06m. 🥇Tzita Kingston also competed in the long jump finishing 4th and also competed 200m finishing 2nd in her heat. Eoin competed in the high Jump which ended up being a jump off between 3 athletes for the gold medal. Eoin cleared 1.72m to claim the gold 🥇Aoife Callan finished 2nd in both the Triple Jump and Shot Put 🥈🥈 on day 3 while Tzita Kingston also competing in the Triple Jump finished 4th.
U18
Vicky Good competed in the 60m to finish 5th and 2nd in 200m.
In the relays there was success for the GU13 A team finishing 2nd team of Adaora Nnaemeka, Lily Clover, Aoife Harte & Isla Wilson 🥈
The boys U13, Girls U13 B and Girls U14 relay teams also ran very well but finished outside the medals.
QUIZ NIGHT MARCH 24th @ 8PM
Catherine Duggan Memorial Sports – Aug 14th
Once again the club will be host the Catherine Duggan Memorial Sports in the Town Park in Bandon.
This year its on Sunday the 14th Auguest, its a 10am start for juvenile events with Junior and Senior events starting at 1pm.
Among the program will be some prestigious races:
- Women’s 800m for the Catherine Duggan Memorial Trophy
- Men’s Mile for the Bob Hayles Memorial Trophy
- Open 5k for the Donough Coughlan Memorial Cup (Open to men and women)
No pre-entry required, just turn up on the day.

Summer Camp
The club will once again be hosting its very popular summer camp this July in the town park in Bandon.
