Membership Info

Bandon Athletic Club was founded in 1964 and currently its one of the top Juvenile Clubs in Cork County enjoying considerable success at Indoor, Track, Field and Cross Country events. It also has some highly rated Senior and Masters athletes who are consistent medal winners in their age categories. Although this web site is primarily focused on our juveniles, we will also try to keep you informed of the progress of our seniors.

Monday nights and Wednesday night training sessions are 7:00 until 9:00 in the Bandon Town Park. For the winter months training moves to the Sports Hall in the Bandon Grammar School. We currently charge €1 per athlete per training night and this goes towards general running costs of the club. We cater for all track and field events such as sprints, hurdles, middle distance, long distance, javelin, discus, shot put, ball throw, long jump and high jump while in the winter months the focus switches to Cross Country.

There is also a strong road running adult section in the club, for more info on when/where etc please contact a coach at a club training session or contact the club secretary.
The Fit4Life group meet for a run or walk every Tuesday night at 8pm at Kellehers. For more info on that you could check out their Facebook page.
