Our juniors were in outstanding form today at the Munster Championships, producing a series of excellent performances across the track and field events.Ira Schmilling enjoyed a fantastic day, claiming gold in the Weight for Distance with a throw of 6.50m. Ira also secured silver medal in the Javelin (25.80m) and added a bronze in the Triple Jump, while finishing 5th in the Shot Put to round off an impressive day. Aoife Callan delivered another superb performance, taking gold in the Javelin with a winning throw of 34.77m. She also added silver in the Long Jump, bronze in the Shot Put, and bronze in the 400m Hurdles. Ruby Cummins completed a brilliant double, capturing gold in both the Long Jump with an impressive jump of 5.34m and gold in the 100m Hurdles.Meanwhile, Eoin O’Callaghan earned a silver medal in the Discus with a strong throw of 41.47m.Congratulations to all our athletes on a fantastic day of competition and on representing the club so proudly at the Munster Championships.
