The upcoming Munster Schools Combined events are going to be held in CIT on the 19th Sept at 10am and not Waterford as previously announced.
These are a great opportunity for anyone interested in combined events,

Also the club will be hosting a mini combined events competition on this Saturday in Bandon Grammar School at 2pm until approx 3.30pm.
There will be competitions for boys and girls born in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Events will be sprint, long jump, throw and 400m.

Well done to Liz Coomey, Kathleen Hayes and Frank Stam who were medalist in the recent National Masters Track & Field.

Well done to Laura McSweeney who was part of the Munster team for the Throws International in Templemore on the 1st Sept where she finished 4th in the Hammer.

Well done to Eric Stam who competed in the Athletics Northern Ireland Combined Events Championships in Antrim last weekend and he competed well over the 2 days to finish in 3rd place.

Well done to Erin Kingston (Enniskeane & Districts) who placed 2nd in the U14 Shot Putt in the National Community Games in Athlone and to the Enniskeane & Districts girls u16 team who placed 4th in relay. Sinead Mulcahy, Sinead Caulfield & Emma Young were part of the relay team. Mathew Draper & Cathal O Sullivan were on the Boys U16 relay team that progressed to the final but finished just outside the medals.

With no athletics events on this weekend, if people are looking for something to do they might consider the Walled Town festival which is being held in Bandon for the first time this year.
Looks like a good program of events.
