A small number of Bandon athletes will be in action for their colleges in the Irish Universities Indoor Championships in the new Athlone arena on Fri, so wishing them all the best of luck.

The venue for the Aviva Munster schools cross country championships has been changed to Carriganore in Waterford on Thursday 7th February due to ground conditions at CIT.
Best of luck to the Bandon athletes who have qualified for these Munster Championships.

Well done to Eric Stam who was 2nd in the All-Ireland Junior Indoor Combined Events in the new Athlone arena on Saturday.

Wednesday 23rd January Sports Psychology Workshop at Cork IT 7-9pm. This takes place upstairs in the red brick building next to the athletics track stand. It will be run by Sports Psychologist Canice Kennedy and will cover the importance of Self Image in developing competition day confidence and improving concentration for competition day performance.

At the upcoming Munster Athletics awards Eric Stam will be presented with an award for the Best Junior athlete at the Munster Championships.
The club will also be presented with an award for the Best Junior/Senior club for their achievements at the Munster Junior/Senior Track and Field Championships.

Well done to Eric and all the other athletes in these achievements.

Now that the new indoor arena in Athlone is ready a number of indoor fixtures will be held there this year and all the upcoming All-Irelands at all age levels will be held there for this year including the All-Ireland Combined Events at the end of the month.
If you are interested in contesting this, please talk to your coach at training.

A new indoor fixture on the calendar this year which people might be interested in.

Nenagh Olympic A.C. are hosting an Open Juvenile Indoor Competition for athletes U/9 to U/12 on Saturday 19th January in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. Flat fee of €5 per person/athlete will be charged at the door.
Could be a good opportunity for younger athletes to get a run out before the Munster Championships on 9th & 10th February.
