The Mallow 10 mile race took place on Sunday March the 22th .With well over 1000 athletes taking to the start line it is now a huge event. First over the line was Martin Fagan of Mullingar Harriers in a time of 48.28 with Mark Hanrahan in second place in a time of 49.53 and Alan O’Shea of Bantry 3th in a time of 51.13.In the female race it was Michelle Finn first over the line in a very fast time of 56.26 winning by over six minutes with Laoise Ní Thuama and Nollaigh O Neill 2nd and 3th in times of 62.50 and 63.28. Bandon AC was well represented with athletes in both the male and female sections. A look ahead
With the time changing in a few days and the longer evening getting closer the 2015 road race summer season is about to kick off. In Cork, the tradition has been that the Ballintotis 4 mile is first off and this year its being held on Thursday the 16th of April at 8pm. Entry fee for this race is 10 euro with all proceeds going to Ballintotis community center.
