There were a number of new club records broken the last 2 weeks. Phil Healy broke the 200m senior club record with very strong 23.55 sec this weekend during the Intervarsities in Athlone and then broke her 60m record with a fast 7.31 which nearly broke the Irish Senior Indoor record.
Last week Amy Crowley broke the senior triple jump club record by just 1 cm to 9.28. So Aoibhin O’Connor’s record only lasted 1 week. Ella Stack broke the senior polevaulting club record by 10 cm. In the youngest age groups also a number of club records were broken: Clodagh Barry U10 with 1.53.73 for 500m, Aoife Callan U11 with 2.08.71 for 600m and shot put with 5.43m, Amy McCarthy U12 with 1.57.44 for 600m, and Laura Sheehy U12 with 9.04 sec for 60m. Coen Crowley U12 was the only boy who broke a record, with 8.49m for his shot put. Well done all!
