Brother and sister Patrick and Laura McSweeney were in action on the Irish team in Athlone on Sat 7th, competing against teams from Ulster, Wales and Scotland in the Celtic Juvenile Track and Field International.

Laura was competing in the U16 Shot Putt and threw a new personal best with the 3.25kg Shot of 11.88m to finish in 2nd place.

Patrick was competing in the U18 Shot Putt and also threw a new personal best of 14.36m to finish in 3rd place.

Well done to both on these great achievements.
