Upcoming events this weekend

The first weekend of the All-Ireland Juvenile Indoor Championships is on this weekend in Nenagh and a number of club members will be making the trip. Wishing all those competing the best of luck.

A bit closer to home, the West Cork Athletics Board will be hosting its annual road races in Dunmanway on Sun 25th at 12noon. Info on the distances etc is on the West Cork web site.

The venue is the usual one on the Kilbarry Road, if coming from Bandon, take a left in the square, over the bridge and then take a right at the fork in the road, then right again. Start is just about 100m down that road. Approx location on google maps

Parade

A hugely successful parade was held in Bandon today with a large number of club members in attendance.
After the parade, the Leprechaun count had 1,260 in attendance in Bandon which put it over 100 ahead of Glenties in Donegal who were also going for the record. All this is subject to official confirmation but it appears that Bandon will earn its spot in the Guinness book of records thanks in part to the large number of Bandon A.C. members.
Well done to everyone involved in the parade and the world record attempt.
