Shane took part in the Long Jump where he had best of 7.27m which was good enough for an impressive win. Shane had been due to compete in the 60m also but due to timing conflict he was unable to compete.
Roisin who is still working her way back to full fitness after injury took part in the Shot Putt where she finished in 11th place.
Well done to Shane and Rosin.

Munster Juvenile Combined Events
Munster Indoor Juvenile U11-U18 Combined Events 2016
Three Bandon AC athletes represented the club in Nenagh on Saturday 2nd January for the first Munster Juvenile event of 2016.
In the girls U11 CE, Maia McCourt competed very well in her first CE finishing in 8th place when the scores for four events (60m, LJ, Shot, 600m) were tallied. This was also Maia’s first time throwing the shot in competition and she will benefit hugely from the experience.
The U16 girls are more seasoned competitors and our two representatives in this CE competition performed very well over the five events (60mH, HJ, LJ, Shot, 800m), taking home gold and silver to Bandon. Aisling Cassidy finished in first place. Her points total (2880 points) is a club U16 record and was the highest recorded in any of the age categories on the day. Her hurdles (9.71 sec, also a club record) and 800m (2min 37sec) times were also fastest of any Munster Juvenile athlete competing on the day. Ella Stack finished in 2nd place (2440 points). After a strong PB in the Hurdles (10.33 sec), Ella had solid performances in her other four events.
Our training partners from Old Abbey and Liscarroll also had a very successful day out. Aoibheann O’Connor finished 2nd in girls U17/U18 CE (2531 points), 1st in the Junior Womens 400m, and 2nd in the LJ. Daniel Hurley won gold (2446 points) and Diarmuid O’Connor won silver (2310 points) in the boys U15 CE. Brian Lynch finished in second place (3151 points) in the boys U16 CE narrowly missing out on gold on the day.
Well done to all and a promising start to 2016.
