Eight athletes from Bandon AC attended Athlone last weekend for the (U12-U19) National Juvenile Indoors having qualified by virtue of their medal-winning performances at the Munster championships in Nenagh three weeks earlier. Athlone IT indoor stadium is a great venue to compete in.

There were six Bandon AC competitors in the field events. Ella Stack (u14) continued her good form to finish 7th in the HJ (clearing 1.38m). In the girls U15 Moira Barrett finished 7th in the Shot (9.04m), having qualified for her first All-Ireland individual Shot competition. Erin Kingston ( U17) threw a great PB in the Shot to win silver (12.27m) and Gavin Hicks (U18) threw the 5kg Shot 11.22m for 7th place.
