At the Munster Senior Track & Field Championships in a very hot and sunny CIT yesterday there was a number of impressive performances from Bandon A.C athletes.
Mark O’Sullivan had a great run in the 1,500m and won Gold with about 30 meters to spare over 2nd place. Shane Howard was 2nd in the Long Jump and also placed 11th in the 100m. Patrick McSweeney won Silver in the Weight for Height and Bronze in both the Hammer and Weight for Distance as well as placing 4th in the Shot Putt. Rachel Roche won Bronze in the Javelin and placed 6th in the Discus.
Laura McSweeney was 4th in both the Shot Putt and Hammer. Danny Allen placed 5th in the 400m and 9th in the 200m.
