Well done to all the Bandon AC athletes competing in the Munster Junior, U23 & Pentathlon Championships today in CIT.

Scott Gibson won the 400m in 48.00 sec which set a new Munster Junior Championship record also achieved the ‘b’ standard for the European Juniors. Bobby Smith won the Javelin. Joey Henchy won both the 100m and 200m sprints. Promise Okafor won the Long Jump.
Daniel Hathaway was 3rd in the 100m. Darragh Ryan was 5th in the 100m and 6th in the 200m.
Fiona Everard was 2nd in the 1,500m, Bethany Haig was 2nd in the 3,000m. Aisling Kelly was 4th in the Shot Putt and 5th in the Long Jump.
In the under23’s Shane Howard was 2nd in the Long Jump

Our young Combined Eventers competed tremendously well also, some of them doing their first Combined Events competition
Eoghan Cassidy 1st BU11, Cian Walsh 4th. Callum McCourt 2nd BU12, Jack Cullen 3rd & Jack Callanan 6th.
