May is also a very busy month for Track and Field athletics and this year will be no different for a lot of club members.

The South Munster Schools Track & Field Championships are on Wednesday 6th for the girls events and Friday 8th for boys events. The only exceptions are Pole Vault and Hammer which will see competitions taking place on the Friday.

For those new to secondary school athletics, please note you need to qualify from South Munster’s to compete in Munster Schools.
The first 3 in each event qualify for the Munster championship except for track events of 400m or less where 2 qualify.
