PRO Report 20th May

Last weekend six members of Bandon Fit4Life competed in the Surf, Turn n Tar in Rosscarbery. Three members competed in the Bay Run in Bantry with Heather Collins placing as first female home. Congratulations everyone. Training for the upcoming marathon is continuing.
A reminder to all parents/ guardians that our annual summer camp is taking place in Bandon Grammar School on 1 st to 4 th July next, 10 to 3 each day.   This fun filled camp to open to members and non members. Further info and application forms are on Club website – www.bandonac.org. Camp suitable for children from junior infants right up to sixth class inclusively.
Results from Day 2 of Juvenile Under 9 to Under 19 County Track and Field Championships which took place in CIT on May 13 th last.
Under 9; Shane Murphy bronze in 300. Under 10; Isobel Lane Gold in Turbo,  Aisling Guinane silver in Turbo.  Under 11; Chris Woodland Gold in long jump, Ronan Sheehy bronze in shot putt.
Under 12;  Andrew Lane Gold in Turbo, Lewis Lenihan silver in Turbo and Gold in Shot Putt. Under 13;  Leah Crean silver in Long Jump, Aoife Callan Gold in Javelin, Eoin O’Callaghan silver in shot putt and bronze In high jump, Glen de Burca bronze in shot putt. Under 14;  Aoife Tuthill Gold in Javelin, Coen Crowley silver in shot putt.
Under 16;  Jack Cullen Gold in long jump and silver in shot putt. Under 17;    Nicola Tuthill silver in 800m, Rory Falvey Gold in 800m.
Under 18; Lauren McCourt Gold in 200m, Niamh Sugrue Gold in Javelin. Under 19; Gerald O’Donovan silver in 100m.
As you can see a substantial amount of medals were won on Day 2 – excellent performances were given by all the athletes. Thanks again to their dedicated coaches for their continued hard work and persistence.

The Committee would like to thank the parents who recently kindly bag packed to raise money for the Club in Super Valu, Riverview Shopping Centre In Bandon . Many thanks to the Caulfield Family for allowing us to do so. Community support is invaluable.
