PRO Report 14th May

Several of our members represented their schools in the South Munster schools track and field championships recently. Many of them medaled and will progress on to the Munsters. Wishing them all the best in their endeavors on 18 th May in CIT.
Results from Day One of county championships (under 9 – Under 19).
Under 9;  Lily Clover bronze in 60m. Ewen Hourigan bronze in 60m and silver in turbo. Under 10;  Emma McElwaine bronze in 500m. Under 12;  Max Clover silver in high jump. Niall Egan bronze in high jump. Ruby Cummins Gold in long jump. Under 13;  Aoife Callan Gold in Shot Putt. Molly O’Donovan bronze in shot putt and silver in hurdles. Eoin O Callaghan Gold in Javelin and hurdles. Under 14;  Maia McCourt bronze in long jump. Coen Crowley bronze in Javelin. Under 16;   Jack Cullen Gold in Javelin and silver in long hurdles. Cian Walsh bronze in high jump. Eabha Crowley bronze in pole vault. Niamh O Donovan silver in shot putt and bronze in long jump. Under 17;  Ruairi Harrington silver in 1500m and Javelin. Rory Falvey Gold in 1500m. Nicola Tuthill Gold in 400m. Under 18;  Niamh Sugrue bronze in shot putt and long jump. Lauren McCourt  Gold in 100m. Stacey Komolafe silver in 100m and Gold in 400m. Erin de Burca bronze in 100m. Olivia Tuthill silver in 400m.
Dylan Roberts bronze in 100m. Diarmuid O Connor Gold in pole vault and silver in Javelin. Under 19; Gerard O Donovan bronze in 100m. Thomas Gale bronze in 400m.  Congratulations to everyone who competed and medaled.
On another note , news just in is that the European Youth Olympic Qualification status has been achieved by Bandon Athlete Diarmuid O Connor. He has exceeded the qualification standard in Antwerp at the Meerkamp Meet. To date Diarmuid is the only Irish Athlete to achieve this high standard. Congratulations to him and his Coach Frank Stam from all at the Club .
