Liam O’Reilly is undertaking the toughest amateur cycle race in the world to help raise funds for our track development.
Liam a lifelong member and friend of Bandon AC since a early age is undertaking a major cycling challenging to help with our fundraising to help Build our TRACK.
Liam will undertake the Haute Route alps Challenge starting on August 22nd and compete over 7 days similar to the tour de France
. The Haute Route Alps is the toughest amateur cycling race in the world, full of bucket list climbs made famous by the Tour de France. A host of cols over 2,000m above sea level and a total cycling distance of 800km.
Liam’s father Michael is one of the founding members of Bandon AC. Liam has competed at the international stage, and has gone onto coaching Rob Heffernan World race walking Champion and bronze Olympic medalist.
