Courceys AC are holding their annual open sports on Sunday 24th May at 1 o’clock at the GAA Pitch in Ballinspittle.
This is usually a great event and well supported by Bandon A.C. down through the years, so hoping for a good turnout from club members once again.

Roisin Howard had a very successful and busy night at the 1st round of the the John Buckey Graded Leagues in CIT last night. Roisin won the 100m Hurdles, the Shot Putt, and placed 2nd in the the Long Jump. Danny Allen was 4th in the 1st of the 400m races and his time was the 4th fastest across the 3 races.
Well done to Danny and Roisin on their performances.

The first night of the Cork Graded Leagues is on this Wed in CIT with a 7.45 start.

This year the club will again be hosting its successful Summer Camp. The dates are Mon 13th July to Thurs 16th.

There was a large number of medals won, including a number of clean sweeps.

Well done to Phil Healy who was on the Irish Women’s 4x200m and 4x100m relay teams which competed in the IAAF World Relay Championships which took place in the Bahamas on the 2nd and 3rd of May
The 4x200m relay was first up on the Sat and this was a straight final, the team put in a great run and secured a new national record for 4x200m and placed 5th. Phil ran the final leg.
The same quartet of girls were back in action on the Sun in the heats of the 4x100m where among tough competitions the team finished in 5th place with Phil once again running the final leg.
